Description:

Acrylic impact modifier is multi-graft copolymer made from butyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate monomer by emulsion polymerization process.
It is “core-shell” structure in sub-microcosmic. The core(rubber phase)is cross-linked Poly-BA, and the shell (plastic phase)is grafted Poly-MMA.
It can form homogenous phase while it co-plasticize with PVC because the solubility of Poly-MMA is close to pvc . The rubber phase will be distributed uniformly in tiny ball shape in PVC medium and form particular “sea-island” structure. This structure can absorbe and disperse the energy which is put on pvc rigid product by impact.
