RUNYE CPE 135A high elongation grade is a premium chlorinated polyethylene impact modifier purpose-designed for flexible and semi-rigid PVC applications where superior ductility and low-temperature flexibility are critical performance requirements. This specialized grade features an optimized molecular weight distribution and controlled chlorine content that delivers elongation at break exceeding 600% while maintaining sufficient tensile strength for load-bearing applications. The unique molecular architecture of CPE 135A enables it to function simultaneously as an impact modifier and a polymeric plasticizer, providing permanent flexibility without the migration and volatilization issues associated with liquid plasticizers such as phthalates. When incorporated into flexible PVC formulations at levels of 10-30 phr, CPE 135A forms a co-continuous elastomeric network that imparts rubber-like elasticity, excellent recovery after deformation, and sustained flexibility at temperatures as low as -30°C. The high elongation characteristic of CPE 135A also contributes to superior tear resistance and fatigue life in dynamically loaded applications. RUNYE CPE 135A high elongation grade is ideal for flexible PVC products including hoses and tubing, wire and cable jacketing, sealing gaskets and profiles, flexible membranes and geomembranes, automotive interior skins and trim, inflatable structures, conveyor belting, and industrial sheeting. It is particularly valuable in applications where phthalate-free flexibility is desired for compliance with REACH, RoHS, and similar regulations restricting certain plasticizers. CPE 135A can be used as a primary modifier for fully flexible compounds or in combination with conventional plasticizers at reduced levels to achieve semi-rigid products with controlled flexibility and improved long-term aging characteristics. The material processes easily on standard PVC compounding and extrusion equipment with no special handling requirements beyond standard powder handling practices for chlorinated polymers.
